A Cold Springs Spouter suggests that Biden's releasing Federal Reserve oil proves that Biden does have control over gas prices. The Spouter has a point - to an extent. Actually, Biden's move illustrates how little control he or any president has over gas prices, or over any commodity for that matter. The release of those reserves will have only a modest effect on gas prices. And suppose there was more vigorous actions Biden could take. Would the Spouter and others accuse him of government interference in the free enterprise system?
