The County would be willing to cut down every last tree in what remains of the "park" to add even more parking. It's clear the County only values the zoo and not the trees. How about just dissolving the County Department of Park and Zoo, donate all of the animals to other zoos, close the zoo and sell all county park land to Green Acres. What a savings it would be for taxpayers! No more salaried park staff.
