At the beginning of the year, the county commissioners acknowledged the housing crises occurring in Cape May County. One of the more recent CMC Herald articles highlights the unproportionate annual increase in house prices in CMC: 16% (in comparison to 5.5% nationally). It is more than apparent that the majority of homes being bought are for vacation purposes, but what about the people who were born and raised here? Will there never be an opportunity to own a modestly priced home in this area? Who will work at these tech facilities? Second home owners? Their kids? C'mon CMC commissioners!!!
