So the Mayor and council of Sea Isle proclaimed a tax rate increase “due to inflationary pressures”. As usual the politicians think we are all stupid. Pay no attention to the cost of frivolous expenditures across the town,, from new signage, to a dog park, to a 21 million dollar civic center, etc. If the Mayor and council knew about “ inflationary pressures “ ,why didn’t they postpone these discretionary projects until the economic conditions changed?
