It provided little confidence in out transportation system and oversight when I read recently that our aircraft inspection system was saved from disaster when a passenger, first time flyer, noticed that 4 bolts were missing from the wing just before takeoff. The passenger saw something and said something, possibly averting a crash. Bravo! I am certain 99.99% of all employees that supervise our transportation system are all working as hard as they are allowed to, ensuring our safety. I am however concerned about the qualifications and performance of leadership. Questions are not accusations.
