To the parent of a son with cancer in WW Crest; first, my thoughts and best wishes go out to both of you at this stressful time. Second, you said both he and your daughter-in-law have full time jobs, and thus probably have employer provided health care benefits, and that’s great. But what if he did not, or could no longer work? Only one party ensured that insurance companies could not refuse to cover him based on “pre-existing conditions”, which, moving forward, he will now be forever “deemed” to have. I don’t begrudge any immigrants vaccinations, or care, it protects all of us in the end.
