Isn't adding another layer of bureaucracy in creating DOGE an example of government inefficiency? This is not to say that efforts at rooting out government inefficiency can’t be valuable. They can be. However, if they are not carried out objectively and grounded in evidence, it will fail. Then what? Trump's slash and burn approach is as wrong-headed as it is simplistic.
