I had the chance this week to talk to two of our city trash department employees while they emptied my trash. It is a shame the way they are being treated , and the city for not negotiating with them for a contract that they are out of for over a year. They just heard that their union representative is going to the next council meeting to ask why they are still waiting for a contract. I think us residents should also go and support our public workers and let the council know it is time to give our workers a fair contract or it’s time for new council.
