I am a Sp. Ed. Teacher. I got into this to help kids with learning disabilities. If your child has a LD know that in that same class are many behavior problem kids who get classified as “Emotionally Disturbed.” The more classified kids, the more $ the school gets from the govt. But that money is “fungible” so it often gets used for other things. So while I’m trying to help your child learn, I’m inhibited by dealing with the “bad” kids. Your child gets a poor educational environment, the bad kid gets an excuse and the school gets $. Keep an eye on things to make sure your child is ok.
