Never understood the concept of affordable housing, felt it was cruel and reminded me of putting a perfectly cooked steak in front of a hungry person then telling them they can’t eat it. Of course California is saying all the rich people must have affordable housing when they rebuild . Why? So the poor can feel bad about themselves when neighbors leave for work in Rolls Royces and Ferraris? Having been very poor and had too much I can tell you nobody wins. Can’t aspire if just placed there for the poor, why bother seeking success only to be shamed for achieving it? Opportunity/pathway for all.
