Donald Trump and his followers keep insisting that foreign countries pay when the U.S. levies tariffs. Any Wildwood Boardwalk vendor can explain that the truth is that importers pay the tariffs to US Customs and Border Protection Dept when they bring goods in to US Ports and then the tariffs are passed along to the local vendors as higher costs whey they claim the goods. It does not go through the IRS nor is it paid outside of the USA. OMG, four years until the Adults can come back in the room.
