Wildwood - To a Wildwood spouter re: closing the high school, yes, education is expensive but there is an answer: consolidation. Close Wildwood High School. The cost per student and the graduation rates are out of whack. The students who go for four years deserve better. Why should the taxpayers foot the constant bill for the upkeep of an 80-plus-year-old building and all of the salaries to employ those teachers and staff. If the school was closed, the students would go to one of or all of the three closet schools and in time the cost to the taxpayers would go down dramatically as the teachers retire.
