What's with all of the seemingly excessive police stopping of mo

Wildwood - What's with all of the seemingly excessive police stopping of motorists in Wildwood? I've lived here over 30 years and have been stopped more times in the past few months than perhaps all of the cumulative years prior. I'm all for preemptive crime stopping but this seems to be more of a misdirected initiative.
