Wildwood - There are always pros and cons when it comes to police and firemen salaries. Folks who don't live here or are related to officers will say it is for your protection and it is dangerous.. If you don't like it move out. Taxpayers will say we grew up here and have no desire to relocate at our age. Common sense will say our town is only one mile long and have a few thousand year-round residents. So with all the stats and number of calls reported each month by each dept. high salaries may be tough to justify. Regardless, for our town, I think $170,000 should be a max for chiefs, scaled down from there for others. Think about it.
