Wildwood - With taxes in Wildwood going through the roof, I think it is time to think privatization of EMS and ambulance services. Let someone bid on the opportunity to operate the service and disband the four ambulances and crews, which will save the town hundreds of thousands in stipends, operating costs, pension contributions, and perks all held by current employees. They can't tell me they can't provide a service a lot cheaper than current costs, while adding monies to the coffers if privatized. Those firemen who are EMT certified would see $45,000 per man cut from their salaries as well, which is a huge saving.
