Wildwood - The recent fire in Sea Isle City that damaged several houses will be fairly commonplace on the islands. New construction, materials, and furnishings are far more flammable than before. There are hundreds of townhouse, condo complexes, and large single-family homes close together where previously concrete block buildings stood. Some island fire departments are in need of volunteers. Rapid response time with sufficiently staffed companies is vital. Recruiting is being addressed but unless they are local or in the station, buildings will be lost, and there is a very small time frame for escape.
