Wildwood - My husband and I were riding bikes on the boardwalk the morning of May 3, at 11 a.m., when the announcement came on to stand for the national anthem. Looking at both directions where we were standing, it was a great feeling to see everyone stopping what they were doing, removing their hats, placing their hands on their hearts, and becoming silent. The only downfall was the loud music playing in some of the stores, whereby we could hardly hear the anthem. Out of respect for our great flag and country, merchants, please be mindful of the timing of the anthem each day.
