Wildwood - The mayor states that Wildwood lacks the ratables that our neighboring towns have and cannot afford improvements and services needed in our town. We are just a rundown, poor town it seems. Yet look at the salaries and benefits this same town bestows on our police and fire departments. The chiefs make over $165,000 with benefits, followed by the rank and file down to the low patrolmen and firemen making an average of $85,000 per year. Do you see something amiss here? Is there any reason for a town of 3,500 residents and one mile long to pay for this service? Most homeowners are summer visitors.
