Wildwood - It's very nice to read about the local volunteer fire companies taking initiative and creating new ways to attract more volunteers. Wildwood Fire is doing what Wildwood Crest ambulance has done forever. That's the way it should have always been. That's the way it should be done everywhere. Paid fire departments will have no purpose anymore. Imagine the tax savings. AIl fire departments need to do away with now is unnecessary applications and voting in. No more blackballing anyone. "Hi! Do you want to volunteer? OK, here is your gear. Training starts tomorrow." Ah, to dream.
