Wildwood Crest - No K-9 unit is needed in Wildwood. It would only be a matter of time before an innocent person gets bitten. Imagine a 5-year-old pulling away from their parent and running up to a police attack dog. The animal's instinct would be to defend. Do you really want this on a jam-packed boardwalk? A North Wildwood police officer told me they once had a unit but it was disbanded because of the risk and wasn't warranted. What's next, cops carrying M-16s?
