West Wildwood - To the taxpayer who asked if the police department is single-man shifts, meaning only one officer working at a time, the commissioner stated no, there’s two on at a time but they overlap and it’s hard to explain. They work 12-hour shifts, only one officer on at a time, the other comes in to relieve the others at 6 p.m. So there is only one on at a time, not two like he stated. There’s only four officers total patrolling. If two worked mornings and two worked nights seven days a week the borough wouldn’t have the money for all the overtime. Don’t be fooled.
