Villas - We went to the Easter sunrise service in the pavilion at Cape May Cove. The scheduled 6:30 to 7:30 event occurred from 6 to 6:30 and was officiated by the First Presbyterian Church of Cape May. We being chronically early just missed about two minutes upon arrival at 6:02. At 6:15, the Cape May Department of Public Works arrived with a street sweeper. It first roared west at a snail’s pace effectively drowning out the event. Then of course the sweeper made a second pass in front of the pavilion before heading off into the sunrise. The only events that were on time were sunrise and the street sweeper.
