Swainton - Kate Smith was a great American. During World War II, she toured the country, raising millions of dollars for war bonds for this great nation. She received the medal of freedom from President Ronald Reagan in 1982. Somebody found the words to two songs that she sang, out of the 3,000 songs that she recorded, and tried to make a case of it. She did not write the lyrics to the controversial songs. People can connect dots in different ways. These folks, whoever they were, they connected the wrong dots. R.I.P Kate. God bless America.
