Stone Harbor - Those against beach replenishment who are saying that "barrier islands were not meant to have structures built upon them" are missing the fact that structures have been built upon them already. Real human beings live in some of these structures. What are you advocating? To allow the ocean to overtake these homes and people? Should everyone simply move away and leave these structures because they shouldn't have been built in the first place? I understand your premise, I just didn't read you proposing a viable solution. Simply end beach replenishment? Seems rather short-sighted.
