Stone Harbor - If you make college free and increase aid, the schools will have no incentive whatsoever to keep costs down. The more they get the more they will spend and the more they will go to the government with their hand out. Supposedly you have some of the best business minds as professors. Why not ask them how to solve the problem? Because the answer would be to end tenure and have instructors and other staff work and teach 40 hours a week year round. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot. Currently, they probably work six to 12 hours a week, even less during summer.
