Sea Isle City - There may have been a motivation to build the large and newer church that is now St. Joseph, declining number of priests available to say mass. They are just not there and for a reason, some priests can't be trusted to care for children or money. The diocese facing this reality has two challenges, raise money to pay liability settlements and concentrate limited priest assets to one facility. Catholics really have no other options other than to convert to other sects of Christianity. The Protestants have been for decades providing a more powerful moral and ethical alternative. Go there.
