Sea Isle City - In Sea Isle, a small group who call themselves 'the stakeholders' are attempting to force their will on the parishioners. Meeting in secret since March, they have developed a plan that reneges on the commitment the Diocese made to the parish to keep and use the historic church. Their communications must be carefully read to understand their intent. For example, repurpose means tear down, and "there are no immediate plans to demolish the church" is followed by "withholding support will not save the old church." It should be clear that the majority of the parishioners want the church to stay.
