Sea Isle City - The reason our storefront facades and downtown areas are not as appealing as Stone Harbor, Avalon and Ocean City is that we don't enact, enforce or encourage quality ordinances. Many towns prevent storefronts from having gaudy fluorescent signs, in favor of classier, wood-painted signs instead. The business owners should take some accountability and want to make the town look more appealing too. Also, the reason neighboring towns' commercial districts look nicer than ours is because they refurbish and preserve their historic buildings. They also have more lawns and tree-lined streets.
