Sea Isle City - The pastor of St. Joseph Church owes the parishioners an explanation why the spiritual life center can't be built across the street. He is accountable to the parishioners who donated to build the new church under the stipulation that the old church would be saved. He can't renege on something done in good faith. Plus, a simple cost-benefit analysis would reveal that it is first, far cheaper to maintain the old church as opposed to building a new structure in its place, and second, more energy efficient to use the old church for daily mass in the off-season compared to heating the new church.
