Sea Isle City - How sad some in our parish seem motivated to exacerbate a difficult issue. I read that disagreement among parishioners about the old church has caused a "schism." While definitionally accurate this term has significant portent in our faith and should not be applied rhetorically. In addition, a false choice has been posited by the "committee" that we can apply "funds to a building that is rarely used or we can allocate funds to enhanced services for seniors, improved opportunities for fellowship, new technology, and easily accessible space." There are other options including compromise.
