Sea Isle City - Another summer of flooding on the island. The latest was in the wee hours of July 29 with heavy rain from 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. Can't Sea Isle City Police Department do a better job warning people? Would it be so difficult to have one marked unit, lights, and sirens and mega phone, go down the usual areas and rouse those sleeping to move their vehicles? I don't think that would be too much of an imposition. Tourists were unaware and woke up to find their vehicles totaled. I know this measure was not taken as I monitor the department via scanner. The church lot should be opened by the police in emergencies.
