Rio Grande - Re: a spouter who suggested that the schools are not doing a good job of teaching children to vote, I consider this a parental responsibility. The schools are not there to raise our children. I started taking my daughter with me when I voted when she was about 7 years old. She always looked forward to it and was very interested. This taught her about the importance of voting and to become a voter as an adult.
