North Wildwood - Our third five-year New Jersey Bureau of Housing inspection was conducted by a knowledgeable North Wildwood employee. The city conducts a very thorough fire inspection every year, so we had no violations on the state inspection, but that fee increased 28 percent over the 2013 inspection. The state letter ordering the fee payment was threatening, and included three pages of information about lead-paint penalties. Lead paint was banned in 1978. Our units were clearly constructed in 2003. Trenton bureaucrats are again burdening us with unnecessary costs and paperwork to justify their existence.
