North Wildwood - I have lived in North Wildwood since 1967. I have been an active member of the Elks Lodge 1896 since 1970, and I am appalled as to what has become of the quiet, peaceful, and well-run Elks Lodge. It has become another loud, out-of-control nightclub. The majority of the 5,000 members of the so-called private benevolent Elks lodge are now younger people who now bring more guests to drink cheaply all summer and have the best bands around to dance with. Other lodges around the country cater to career members with activities suitable to the Elks' way of life.
