North Cape May - I don't think a spouter was too callous re: their stance against providing school breakfasts and lunches to underprivileged kids. They asked why parents can't feed their kids before they leave or pack a lunch? They can. Taxpayers already pay for their food through SNAP (food stamps). They can certainly get a box of cereal, bread, and peanut butter and jelly with SNAP. If they can't provide breakfast and a packed lunch, state Department of Children and Families should remove the kids from their care. They are guilty of neglect. What are they eating in the summer?
