North Cape May - Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly is now under siege regarding multiple women who filed sexual harassment lawsuits against him. Multi-millions were paid by Fox to settle several claims, and more women are expected to come forward. Also, over three dozen companies have now canceled advertising and sponsorships on the Fox Network. So why is Trump using the office of the presidency as O'Reilly's biggest public supporter stating that O'Reilly is a good man and should have fought all these women in court? How does Trump have any idea what O'Reilly does behind closed doors?

A New York Times article April 1 states, "For nearly two decades, Bill O’Reilly has been Fox News’s top asset, building the No. 1 program in cable news for a network that has pulled in billions of dollars in revenues for its parent company, 21st Century Fox. Behind the scenes, the company has repeatedly stood by Mr. O’Reilly as he faced a series of allegations of sexual harassment or other inappropriate behavior. An investigation by The New York Times has found a total of five women who have received payouts from either Mr. O’Reilly or the company in exchange for agreeing to not pursue litigation or speak about their accusations against him. The agreements totaled about $13 million." Another New York Times headline April 4 states, "Fox Losing More Advertisers After Sexual Harassment Claims Against O’Reilly." A third New York Times article April 5 states, "Bill O’Reilly, the embattled Fox News host, received a powerful show of support on Wednesday from a longtime friend ... Speaking in the Oval Office, Donald J. Trump praised Mr. O’Reilly as 'a good person' and declared, 'I don’t think Bill did anything wrong,' days after The New York Times reported that five women had received settlements after making harassment claims against him. ... 'Personally, I think he shouldn’t have settled,' Mr. Trump told Times reporters in a wide-ranging interview. 'Because you should have taken it all the way; I don’t think Bill did anything wrong.'
