Middle Township - To correct a letter writer: The Republican Party was founded in 1854 to stop the spread of slavery and provide equal opportunity for all. Its champion, Abraham Lincoln, was elected a few years later. It was not around in the 1700's to participate in the Alien and Sedition Acts. Donald Trump is not suggesting their resurrection. Americans need to learn their own proud history to make judicious choices in their representation.
