Lower Township - There is an argument to be made against beach replenishment. Barrier islands should never have had any permanent structures built there. Why, because they are nature's way of protecting the mainland. The strip of sand and wetlands behind them absorb the energy and floodwaters of storms. So why then must my tax dollars continue to save people who shouldn't be there?
