Lower Township - As a retired school teacher, I became aware of parents that kept trying to convince the school counselors, teachers, and doctors that their child has ADHD. In doing so, they would increase their child's sugar intake to make it believable. It seems to be more prevalent now as more people are becoming addicted to drugs. Parents are taking their kids' medication, so be aware of parents that use their kids to get high. Now that the school year has started again, there will be an increase of parents trying to get over on the teachers by giving them a sugar high before school and suggest they may have ADHD.
