Lower Township - Another ferry bites the dust! And it's the best and most modern! Why do we continue to support this overpriced white elephant? The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel has been open for 55 years, yet we continue with an old-fashioned, high-priced car barge! The bridge tunnel conveys thousands of vehicles every day, the ferry only hundreds and in periods of bad weather, none! Cape May and Kent counties could benefit with millions of dollars of new income from 24 hours of income from continuous traffic! To our elected officials, please wake up and smell what you're shoveling when you defend the ferry.
