Last spring, the Middle Township Board of Education president resigned from his position on the school board, allowing his daughter to be hired as a high school teacher. After his daughter was given the position, he was then reinstated to his position as board president. Another board member recently did the exact same thing. Though this is within the scope of the law, it is clearly unethical. Nepotism is not a crime, but it is my understanding that another board member is planning to do the same thing for her son very soon.
