Court House - This newspaper states as fact that county dispatch will reduce taxes and improve services. What taxes will be reduced? Surely the cost of paying the county will offset any savings claimed on our local tax rates. Improve services? We can't find a better response rate than we have right now within our island municipalities. When one calls their local police department, they get personalized service. Can we really say we will still have all that with a county dispatch system located at the airport in Erma?

One area of improved service is coordination amongst multiple municipalities, especially in storm emergency situations.
