Cape May - Why is Capt. Robert Sheehan of the Cape May Police Department receiving $800,000 from the taxpayers of Cape May ($440,000 from the taxpayers; $360,000 from the city's insurer)? He claims he was "wronged" and wants his job back! He has his job back... he is a captain in the police department. He was never the chief of police. He was the acting chief of police. This was a temporary assignment which he accepted for a 365-day period which, when it expired, he returned to his position as captain. Where was he "wronged?" He files suit for "his job back" and the city decides to grant him $800,000. What is the rationale for this? What don't we know?
