Cape May - As we mourn the passing of George H.W. Bush, people have highlighted his service to the country both as a war hero and as a president. As a person who has lived with cerebral palsy for 40 years, signing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1989 was one of his greatest accomplishments. This act did for people like me what the Civil Rights Act did for people of color in 1964. Thanks President Bush for recognizing the needs of people with disabilities.
