Cape May - Some Democratic senators think that reparations is a good way to address the issue of racism and “white privilege.” They are opening the door to unbridled racism and resentment of epic proportions. Many white, Asian and non-African Americans had no ancestors living in the U.S. during slavery. Many people who identify as African Americans have mostly non-African ancestors and many African families have come to the U.S. in the many years since the end of slavery. The resultant resentment and anger will do more to destroy race relations than anything the Klan could think up.
