Cape May - If Cape May officials think they're going to stop store employees from parking around the mall by extending the parking meter season to Dec. 31, they're wrong. Mall employees who really want to park free can do what the beach taggers have been doing for years; get handicap placards for their cars. Handicap placards are apparently easy to obtain because so many able-bodied beach taggers have them. Handicap passes entitle people to park at meters all day without paying. The extended meter season is more likely to drive away shoppers, not store employees.
