Cape May - Former Gov. Christie stated in his new book and to WABC talk radio host Curtis Sliwa that he regrets going to Island Beach State Park when it was closed to everyone else during a government shutdown. He stated that he promised his wife and children that he would spend some time with them at the beach and that he doesn't regret spending the time with them as promised. Understood. The issue here is that the beach was closed to everyone and that includes his family. Why was his family allowed on this beach when everyone else abided by the law and stayed away?
