Cape May County - What's happening to the CMC Special Services School? Stabbings, out of control students, special education mixed behavior students as well as emotional disturbance. All in the same hallway. Unsafe environment. Administration not backing teachers and staff. Hopefully, the freeholders do something to get the superintendent in line or out. The union won't help us so hopefully, the county can.

Moderator's Note:
Superintendent Barbara Makoski stated in an email to the Herald, "Let me be clear that there have been no stabbings in my school. Our mission is to teach students with special needs which include students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. This is nothing new. In terms of safety, our district has a School Resource Officer on site and a dedicated, involved administrative staff. I'm not sure what the author means when he/she says the administration is not backing teachers and staff. I do know that there have been no grievances filed by the staff association. Comments such as these are inflammatory, prejudicial to my students and upsetting to their families."
