Cape May County - According to the 2016 Cape May County Tourism Report (http://bit.ly/2O1ch9C), 12.5 million people visited Cape May County in 2015, and 93.5% visited the beach. With this large influx of tourists in the area during the peak season, more emergency medical services (EMS) providers should be utilized. For comparison, at the New York State Fair, with 10,000 people in attendance, there is a required staff, including one command officer, three paramedics, and three EMTs onsite. The state Department of Health's EMS Monthly Report for July 2018 states the average ALS (advanced life support) agency response time in Cape May County was 16 minutes (http://bit.ly/2xSZivG).
