Avalon - Zoning and Planning Commissions, governed by Title 40, Section 40: 55D-23 outlines requirements for membership of a board. The purpose of a board is to represent the population in zoning issues. They should have a vested interest in the community. As a citizen, we assume board members actually hold title to a property in that community. Not in Avalon. A member (Class IV) appointed in January 2017 holds no property titles in this community. How can that be? On the Zoning and Planning Commission, yet not a true owner. It may meet the regs, but really?
